Spot was founded by dual-qualified Occupational Therapist & Speech Pathologist, Kate Broderick in 2005. When Kate emerged from her studies as a dual qualified professional, she was ready to bring a new innovative style of care to the field of Allied Health. This forward thinking perspective led to the evolution of SPOT (Speech Pathology Occupational Therapy) and has been reflected in our clinical approach since its inception.
Over the years, Spot has moved locations within Sydney, finally establishing its headquarters in Randwick in 2020. Now, we have four clinics in Sydney and support families from all over Australia with our Telehealth service.
Kate is a parent of kids with disability and is passionate about advocating for change within our wider community. Spot has grown as a result of Kate’s passion for sharing her wealth of knowledge and clinical experience, to shape the professional and personal development of her team, and to enhance the lives of her clients.
Now, Spot is so much more than a Speech Pathology & Occupational Therapy practice. It also offers Allied Services such as Support Work, a peer support group for parents & carers, and shares information tirelessy with the global community through our Social Media platforms (The Spot Life Podcast, Instagram (@spottherapyhub), and Facebook.
